I see thy tears

Some regrets that will die with us or go with us into eternity
Please read Acts 17:22-24 where we see the subject in verse 30 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:” The Old Testament saints did not have a completed copy of the Word of God. What is meant by “winked” is that God overlooked their “ignorance” and did not punish them concerning the subject. Look at Lam. 3:22-33; Psalm 103:8-17
There is an element of utmost importance missing in much of the world and in many Churches as well. That element is “The fear of God.” Please read Prov. 1:1-7, 29 and Psalm 19:7-11
There are more unrealistic expectations in our time than any other time of my life. It seems that the prevailing attitude is that “God will just have to take me as I am. I am not changing but I still expect His blessings on my life and I still claim His promises.” The Apostle Paul wrote under inspiration in Romans 10:3 “For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” 2Pet. 3:5 “For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:”
God does not wink now. Acts 8:9-25; Jude 8-19 and 2 Peter 2:9-13 tell of those who have the attitude that anything goes and God must bless in spite of Spiritual ignorance. We are living in a time when many people, even professing Christians have the attitude that they can make their own decisions and bad choices and God is obligated to bless in spite of it.
“The things that make the new man (saved) holy will make the old man (unsaved) unhappy” and “The things that make the old man happy will make the new man unholy.” LLH
“There are no choices without consequences. There are no changes without commitment. There is no commitment without control, and there is no control without a new creature.” LLH
God still does not wink.
1. We cannot have relief without getting right! God does not wink at rebellion and disobedience. The peace of God has a price. Look at Annias and Sapphira in Acts 5:1-11 They had the opportunity to admit that they had concocted a lie, and yet they both stuck to their story and died immediately.
2. We cannot have power without purity! God does not wink at an impure Christian life. 1 Cor. 3:16-17; 1 Cor. 6:18-20 There is a divine connection between God’s power in our lives and the purity of our lives. This is why some Christians are continually failing and falling for the same old tricks of Satan. Just because you claim the name of Christ does not mean God winks at your unclean Christian life and places His Power and blessing on your life.
3. We cannot have God’s favour without faithfulness! God does not wink at a Christian’s unfaithful life. Deut. 6:23-25, 10:12, 20. An unfaithful Christian life is proof of the absence of “The Fear of God.” We who are saved should approach the things of God as sacred and prayer, Bible reading, Church attendance and serving God should be done as if we are meeting personally with God. Matt. 18;18-20
If you think God is winking, you need to change your thinking! God takes everything in our lives personal, and He winks no more. He will not look the other way as we disobey Him without fear.
God still loves us when we are unfaithful, but He will “chasten us as sons” when we live in disobedience. TAKE GOD SERIOUSLY! If we believe God’s Word, we should live as if God is looking on us every moment we live, seeing everything we do, everywhere we go and hearing everything we speak.
1 Pet 3:12 “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.”
