I see thy tears

Some regrets that will die with us or go with us into eternity
One of the most disturbing things known to man is the unknown, and one of the most stabilizing things known to man is the known.
In a world that is confused about facts, deceived about facts, and even so sure that they know the facts, it sure is good to be able to stand up with a body of truth and say without apology, "I know some statements of settled fact."
When the Bible speaks on a subject, and a man believes what he has heard or read; he can say without apology and without fear, "I know these things are true."
The Mormons know what Mormonism teaches, but how can they know it is a fact when it contradicts the Bible?
The Jehovah Witness know what their religion teaches, but how can they know it is fact when it contradicts the Bible?
Roman Catholics know what the Roman Catholic Church teaches, but how can they know it is fact when it contradicts the Bible?
The Seventh-day Adventist knows what their church teaches, but how can they know it is fact when it contradicts the Bible?
I could go on and on, however, I am using these to show how so many belief systems do not rely truly and totally on the Bible for statements of settled fact.
All truth comes from one source, the infallible, inerrant, inspired, preserved, holy Word of God!
1. Can you say for a fact that you are going to Heaven without basing it on the plan of salvation found in the Holy Bible? There is only one plan of Salvation.
One of the great privileges of being a Christian is having your heart settled on Biblical fact. Can you say "I know" without doubt? Job said, "For I know that my Redeemer liveth." Job 19:23-27
Paul the Apostle said in 2 Tim. 1:12-13 "For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day. Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus." Paul knew it was a settled fact.
2. Can you say for a fact that you know you will see God in Heaven when you die?
Job 19:25-28 "For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me."
1 Cor. 2:9 "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him."
3. Can you say for a fact that you trust the One True God in the storms of life? Job 13:15 "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him: but I will maintain mine own ways before Him."
Job 1:20-22 "Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly."
Can you say as fact that God cares, God answers prayer, and God will "work all things together for good..." Rom. 8:28
4. Can you say as a fact that Jesus is coming again according to the Bible?
1 Thess. 1:9-10 "For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; And to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come."
Notice "And to wait for His Son from Heaven."
1 Thess. 4:13-18 "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
Notice: "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope."
Please read 2 Peter 3:1-9
I am sure I am saved! It is a settled fact!
I am sure I will see The Lord! It is a settled fact!
I am sure I will survive the storms! It is a settled fact!
I am sure I will sail through the air one day! It is a settled fact!
Thank God for what can be known! It settles my heart and gives me peace!
Finally read John 3:7-18 "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto Him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
