The Goodness of God, Revisited

Psalm 27:13 states, "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living."

We are living in very troubling times. People are watching their life savings dwindle away at an alarming rate. Our nation is in turmoil financially, morally, politically, socially, and Spiritually. We are like those in Psalm 107:27 who were "at their wits end" and those in 2 Chron. 20:12 who said, "O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: BUT OUR EYES ARE UPON THEE."  They did the only thing they could do...They turned their eyes upon the LORD.  Psalm 107: 8,15,21, and 31 state, "Oh that men would praise the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!"
Look up these verses pertaining to the subject of the goodness of God: Heb.11:1,6 ; Ps. 37:4; Ps. 25:8; 34:8; 86:5; 31:19; 33:5; 52:1 ; 107:8,15,21,31.

God is so good that He still saves sinners. Eph. 2:8-9, Rom. 3:1-11.
God is so good that He still sees us through our trials and troubles. Isa.43:2
God is so good that He still satisfies our heart with truths that bless us.
God is so good that He still supplies our need even against all human odds.
God is so good that He still strengthens us against all human inabilities.
God is so good that He still shines a path for us, even though the way is dark and sometimes weary.
God is so good that even in the midst of tears, sickness, sorrow, failure, doubt, disappointment, depression, misunderstanding and fear, He still sweetens life in special ways to encourage us and help us to live on and look up until He comes again for us.

What burden do you have? What sorrow do you have? What question do you have? What battle do you face? Claim Ps. 27:13-14  If you are not yet saved, Romans 2:4 states "the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance." The greatest testimony of God´s goodness to us is seen in His gift of eternal life through the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross. What a Great God We Serve!
