WINTER REVIVAL JAN 16TH - 20TH, 2012
Dr. Phil Kidd
Nightly at 7pm
It is time for our annual revival here at Faith Independent Baptist Church. I want to give you a hearty welcome if you are in driving distance and want to hear good Bible-based messages from God's Holy Word. Dr. Phil Kidd has been with us every year for over 2 decades now and has always been a blessing to our Church and visitors as well. We would count it an honor to have you visit with us during this time. If you cannot be with us, please pray that God will meet with us in a great way.
Revival is not evangelism nor even soul winning. It is not measured by numbers of dollars, baptism or commitments.
Revival means to "return to consciousness", "to Return to vigor from a state of neglect". If you are not a Christian, you don't need revival. You Can't have revival. You Need LIFE. Let me explain: Only living things can be revived. I John 5:12 says "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God HATH NOT LIFE."
PEOPLE DO GET SAVED DURING TRUE REVIVAL SERVICES BECAUSE THE GOSPEL IS PREACHED, BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE REVIVAL; THAT IS REGENERATION. THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE.
Are you a Christian who has neglected the things of God? Then you need revival. Revival begins when you are convinced that you are not right with God. That leads to a confession of being backslidden, and finally to consecration to live for the Lord.
II Chronicles 7:14 "If MY people, which are called by MY name, shall HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY, AND SEEK MY FACE AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS; THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN, AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND."
REVIVAL CAN ONLY BE HAD GOD'S WAY. IF YOU ARE READY, HE IS READY. WILL YOU PLEASE OPEN YOUR BIBLE TO ISAIAH 59:1-4 AND READ?
If you are SAVED, yet backslidden, why not let God REVIVE you? If you are unsaved, why not accept Jesus Christ as your saviour? He died in your place on the cross and waits for you to come to Him. (Romans 5:6-11) If you want to know more about the Christian life or sense a need for Revival, why not call or visit us? We would be honored to help!
