The greatest victory in life is the victory over self
I have met quite a number of people in all these years who claim to know God but, deny Christ. Is it Biblically possible to be a true, Born-again believer apart from Christ? The answer is "No." Rom. 5:1-2 states, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." Acts 4:12 states, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Jesus said in John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: No man cometh unto the father, but by me." Colossians 2:10 tells us, "Ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power." Eph. 3:15-23 should be read and especially notice v19, "That ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." Look at Heb. 1:2-3, "Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high." Phil. 2:5-11 should be read, but notice v9-11, "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." If you will not confess Him as Lord now, be sure, you will one day confess with your tongue His exalted position. Look at 1 Cor.1:18-31 and notice v.30, "But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption." Titus 2:14 states about Christ: "Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." The following verses tell us that redemption comes only through the Lord Jesus Christ: Gal. 4:5; Tit.2:14; Gal. 3:13; 1Pet.1:18; Rev. 5:9 ; Rom. 3:24; Eph. 1:7 ; Col. 1:14 ("Through His blood" left out of perverted versions) ; Heb. 9:12.
Please read 2Cor.5:14-21 and notice v18, "And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ,..." v19 "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them." Then notice v21, "For He (God the Father) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." There is only one way to Heaven and that is through Faith in the Sacrifice of Christ for the sin of the world. Rom. 10:9 : "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." There is no other way to heaven. Notice what is required: "Confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus...Believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
