I WILL ANSWER MR. FOWLER'S OPEN LETTER SOON, HOWEVER, IT SEEMS THE LAST EIGHTEEN WEEKS SHOULD SUFFICE FOR ANYONE READING WITH THE SLIGHTEST INTEREST IN THE SUBJECT OF FREEMASONRY. IT SHOULD BE OBVIOUS THAT I HAVE STUDIED THE SUBJECT RATHER THOROUGHLY. I WILL ANSWER HIS LETTER AS HE PRESENTED IT AND THAT WILL BE "THE END" AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED.
NOW, BACK TO THE SUBJECT:
Even Masonic leaders are aware that the majority of people who join the Masons do not really know what Masonry teaches. They obviously see the good works which cannot be denied, however, there is more to it than meets the eye.
Listen to W.L. Wilmahurst, a highly recognized Masonic writer:
"A candidate proposing to enter Freemasonry has seldom formed any definite idea of the nature of what he is engaging in. Even after his admission he usually remains quite at a loss to explain satisfactorily what Masonry is and for what purpose his Order exists."
As I have stated before, there is a deliberate attempt to confuse the new initiate. An example of this can be seen on pages 188-189 of the Macoy Publishing and Masonic Supply Co. Inc. no. 120 cat. Effective September 1, 1993-August 31, 1994. What I see on page 188 and 189 are emblems for the 32nd and 33rd Degree. Now, are they double-headed eagles or, are they double-headed Phoenix? Answer: Phoenix. Why? Could it be a mockery of the Eagle as a Bible type of God by using a Phoenix as a type of Lucifer? In fact, Occultists claim that the Phoenix bird (Lucifer) will rise victorious from the fiery ashes to reign forever. Masonic authority A.S. Raleigh's book, "Occult Geometry: has an emblem of a Phoenix bird aloft carrying the cup, or chalice, mentioned in Revelation 13. How strange.
Also, I have a picture of the flying serpent, a version of the phoenix, which is displayed on the wall behind a black marble alter IN THE SANCTUARY OF THE HOUSE OF THE TEMPLE IN WASHINGTON, D.C. It is before this alter, that candidates for the 33rd degree bow down and pledge their obedience to the Lodge and its religious, political, and economic goals. My dear friends, I could go on and on and I may. However my wish is to finish this subject and move on to other interest. At the end of this study I will provide a good-sized bibliography for your further study.
