The Goodness Of God

Psalm 27:13 states, "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living."

We have had Bro. Charles E. Wright with us in revival services for nineteen years straight and had him scheduled to be with us June 4-11th this year. On May 24th I had a call from him informing me that they found cancer in Mrs. Wright and we would have to postpone the revival indefinitely. Of course we were devastated. Everything was ready; ads were placed; printing was done; air tickets were bought; and we were already inviting people. It looked like we would never see this wonderful couple in Niceville together again. We prayed and poured out our hearts to God, asking that He touch her and even heal her and allow them to return again. She began to experience unbearable pain and was eventually put in the hospital during the Fourth of July week. My wife and I went to Atlanta and stayed with them in the hospital daily for the week and soon realized that outside a miracle, she may never walk, much less travel. They operated, placing a pump for pain management in her side and sent her home. There she had a few good days and then an awful day, and things looked impossible. Bro. Wright poured out his heart to God for his wife of 54 years. God heard and answered and she has even been able to walk some. We have now planned the revival for August 27-September 2nd. and anticipate a great week. This is all according to the Goodness of God. Bro. Wright quoted Mark 10:27, "And Jesus looking upon them saith, with men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." Thank God for His goodness!

Look up these verses pertaining to the subject of the goodness of God: Heb.11:1,6 ; Ps. 37:4; Ps. 25:8; 34:8; 86:5; 31:19; 33:5; 52:1 ; 107:8,15,21,31.

God is so good that He still saves sinners. Eph. 2:8-9, Rom. 3:1-11.

God is so good that He still sees us through our trials and troubles. Isa.43:2

God is so good that He still satisfies our heart with truths that bless us.

God is so good that He still supplies our need even against all human odds.

God is so good that He still strengthens us against all human inabilities.

God is so good that He still shines a path for us, even though the way is dark and sometimes weary.

God is so good that even in the midst of tears, sickness, sorrow, failure, doubt, disappointment, depression, misunderstanding and fear, He still sweetens life in special ways to encourage us and help us to live on and look up until He comes again for us. What burden do you have? What sorrow do you have? What question do you have? What battle do you face? Claim Ps. 27:13-14
